so smooth
so smooth
fire (tho the white noise sweeps feel a bit too loud for my taste)
I don't get why people are zero-bombing this track, its actually really nice.
The oldschool style here is really good. In my opinion, the drums feel a bit too muddy or distorted, but that's just a little issue I have. On the other hand, the addition of the yeah-woo think break is a cute little way (albeit not fitting with the mood) to give some variety to the drop.
I like the way that each chill break-section is different, instead of just being copy-pastes with minor tweaks. It really makes this song feel like a song rather than a repetitive loop. This song is pretty vibey overall, I like it :)
thank you, i didnt even realise it was getting zero-bombed so heavily! i really appreciate the kind words <3
I like it. The kick is a little too muddy/long for my liking, but the rest is really nice.
Nice intro (<0:18), but I feel like it should have been placed later in the song, as a break part. I just don't really like the way that the volume of the song goes from loud to soft right in the first 20 seconds of the song, only then to actually start the progression. I just feel like it was a wasted opportunity for that first small section.
On another note, the second half of the song sounds much better. Both halves are good, but you can really notice the improvement in production skill in the second. Sound design wise, the sounds chosen for the track are really nice and chill, and the mix is pretty nice.
I absolutely love the way that the intro percussion panning sweeps across, reminds me of a rattlesnake. The sound selection for this piece is really well down, and the vocals stand out in the song without completely drowning out the mix. A little point to nit-pick on would be the transition into the second half of the first drop at 1:05. I would just add a small reversed reverb sweep to introduce the chords more smoothly, instead of them just coming straight at you with no prior lead-in (instrument wise). Nice progression overall though!
glad you liked it! do stay tuned for there's another song coming the 31st
nice sound design here, and I like the breakbeat-esque section around 1:00 with the snares switching things up. The transition between that and the 1:15 section is really clean too - I would prefer for there not to be any vocal there, but that's just my preference on vocals. The transition at 2:00 is a bit too jarring for my taste, but the high-end mastering in that section is really good. Industrial isn't usually a genre I like, but this song is pretty cool :)
i removed the vocals, cuz i feel the same way too. I also polished it a tiny bit.
Nice little indie/ambient track here - I like the addition of the trumpet in the second half, these instruments just tie the track together super well.
Thanks for the comment!
I was playing around with sounds and the saxophone came to mind. It sounded good so I left it in.
I love the composition here and how all of the sounds fit together. Little automations and changes such as the arp at 3:25 just seal the deal and keep the piece from feeling repetitive, which I really like. In my opinion, if the bass was kept in those few seconds between 1:22 and 1:26, it could have made the transition to the second half much smoother (but this is just me nitpicking).
Hey! Thanks for the feedback it helps a lot!
I'll try this out and see how it sounds, i'll update the song after the NGUAC 2022 tryouts are over
